Hello everyone, it’s me again – Anna Nguyen. Today will be a sharing post about my third day in Ha Giang and some notes so you can enjoy a comfortable trip and have many beautiful pictures as souvenirs.
First, we chose to have breakfast at Huong Han restaurant. This restaurant was reviewed quite well on travel channels so our group decided to try it. The restaurant has dishes such as: vermicelli, pho and vermicelli, the price is also reasonable, but I don’t remember clearly how much it costs for a portion. After that, our group went to the market in Quan Ba district.

This is a market that only opens once a week on Sundays. Here, many different items of many different ethnic groups are sold: food, rustic items such as plows, sticks, and knives for farm work, to forest specialties such as hill chickens, stream fish, and wild vegetables, hot pot, cilantro, corn wine… or fruits and vegetables in the home garden such as lemon, chili, lemongrass, ginger, rice, chicken eggs,…are also brought to the market to sell, creating a bustling, bustling scene.

I think that because we live in the highlands, people here have very few opportunities to socialize, so they look forward to the weekend to meet people and also buy and sell products to increase their income. So they can sell whatever they have, or if they don’t sell it, they can exchange it with others. After going around the market, we got in the car and returned to Ha Giang. There are two ways to return. Our group chose to take the old road because we heard people say the new road will be bumpier and more difficult to travel. Because riding a motorbike takes a lot of time, it was late afternoon when we arrived. We went to the place to return the car and showered and had dinner. After that, a limousine came to pick us up and take us back to Hanoi. Here, we rented a small motel to sleep overnight because we could fly back to Hue at 6 o’clock tomorrow morning. So ended our group’s journey to explore Ha Giang.
Here are a few notes that I think you should take some time to read:
Firstly: If you are girls, you should not ride a motorbike by yourself because most of the passes are dangerous and difficult to ride.
Secondly: You should wear shoes to be able to climb cliffs or mountains.
Thirdly: Take photos with buckwheat flowers have payment. Looking around, I didn’t see anyone, but after taking the photo, someone appeared and took my money.
Fourthly: You should bring food when traveling from Ha Giang to Dong Van because the road is long and the stops are often passes, there are no restaurants.
Fifthly: The day you arrive in Dong Van, if you ride a motorbike by yourself, drive quickly and don’t stop to take too many photos because it will be difficult to go in the dark.
Those are 5 things to note that I think will help you prepare better for your trip. Thank you for following and accompanying me. See you on the next trips.
