Ha Giang Day 1

Hello everyone, it’s me – Anna Nguyen. To continue sharing articles about travel journeys, today I want to tell you about our group’s 3 days and 2 nights long journey in Ha Giang.

After consulting many websites and watching dozens of review videos, we decided to choose October to go to Ha Giang. Firstly, because at this time we have finished the exam. Secondly, October is the time when a series of terraced fields in Ha Giang are covered with the golden color of the ripe rice season. So my group booked plane tickets to fly from Hue to Hanoi. The ticket price was not too high, I don’t remember clearly but it fluctuated around 1,000,000-1,500,000 VND/ticket. From Hanoi, we were introduced to many means of transportation to get to Ha Giang, but because we were flying early in the morning, we chose a Limousine so we could sleep more at a price of 250,000 – 350,000 VND/ticket. You can also ride a motorbike but it takes about 6-7 hours or at My Dinh bus station there are many reputable bus companies such as Hung Thanh, Bang Phan, Quang Nghi, Hai Van with a variety of buses from 4:00 p.m. – 21:00 for you to choose from, ticket prices range from 200,000 – 300,000 VND/bed. After getting some sleep, we arrived, got off the bus and went to the hotel we had booked. After resting, we rented a motorbike to start our journey to explore Ha Giang by ourselves. If you have ever read through my trip in Dalat, you will see that motorbikes are always our choice because I can take control of my time and run everywhere I want. Today, I will drive a motorbike to Dong Van town about 140km from Ha Giang. Because the distance is very long and the road is difficult to run, it takes about 4-5 hours to arrive. The nature here is majestic with craggy and craggy cliffs, especially the super amazing scenery on the North Sum slope. Looking down from above, I see this slope like a long snake crawling in the middle of a forest. Unable to resist that beauty, I had to stop to take a few photos. Then continue on the road. Although the road to Dong Van is very far, because I am always passionate about sightseeing, I find it quite fast. We finally arrived in town, at this time around 2-3pm, here we had to rent another homestay to rest after a long journey. It was planned to only lie down and anyone expected to sleep until 6 p.m., so they could only take each other to dinner at a restaurant about a 10-minute drive from home. The weather was too cold, so our group decided to go home in order to talk together.

So our day in Ha Giang was over. Now I have to go to school, see you in the next article
